学生 and staff came together in the 满帆 Live venue for 满帆’s annual Wellness Fair: a day-long event that provides resources and information about ways to live and feel better. Attendees could connect with mental health advisors, 登记投票, 商店, and even get their seasonal flu vaccine.

“[We] have a variety of wellness vendors and offerings to get people out into the community…get some information, and just have some fun and come together,” said 事件 Management Specialist Jen West.

I would like students to see that 满帆 cares about their whole wellbeing. Being a student can be stressful, but by having some outlets and learning about different gyms or different clubs, they can nurture that other aspect of their life.”

For students and staff looking to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, wellness treatments and products were available for purchase from essential oils company DoTerra and local concierge IV therapy business Top Tier Beauty and Wellness Bar.

“I would like students to see that 满帆 cares about their whole wellbeing. Being a student can be stressful, but by having some outlets and learning about different gyms or different clubs, they can nurture that other aspect of their life,珍分享道.

当地的 organizations, including the Victim Service Center, the Tobacco Free Partnership of Orange County, and the neighborhood sexual health clinic Hope & Help offered information and resources to attendees. The Orange County Fire Rescue Community informed attendees of their services, like their free smoke alarm installation program and water safety lessons for young children.

Throughout the day, attendees were also encouraged to participate in one of the many demo exercise classes run by staff members, including weightlifting, pickleball, 和尊巴.

“Staff members stepped up and said, ‘This [sport] is important to me and I'd like to show my fellow 满帆ors what it's about,’”珍解释道。.

Even animal lovers had a dedicated vendor. Brozanski for Cats – a nonprofit, no-cage shelter that socializes and rehomes cats that would typically be considered “unadoptable” by traditional shelters – was at the fair to encourage attendees to visit the shelter and even think about bringing home a new friend.

Much like in day-to-day life, wellness is about inclusivity, which is why Jen wanted to ensure that everybody felt their needs were being met when attending this year’s Wellness Fair: “We tried to aim for a big variety of vendors because wellness is different for everybody.”
